Aga Khan Health Service, Tanzania (AKHST) – an agency of the Aga Khan Development Network(AKDN), a not-for-profit international organization that supports social development programs in Tanzania. It has completed a major expansion to position the institution to become a leading and integrated tertiary and teaching health care system in Tanzania.
As part of its health systems strengthening initiatives in working with and supporting Government health programmes, AKHST and (BMZ / KFW) are partnering on a new comprehensive COVID 19 vaccination project aiming at increasing access to and scaling up COVID 19 vaccination through Private Public Partnership (PPP) with Tanzanian-based partners: Regional and Council Health Management Teams in delivering a full range of vaccination services. The Project implementation areas include; Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, Arusha, Morogoro Coastal Regional and Tabora.
AKHST is seeking for enthusiastic and qualified experienced personnel for the following positions to be part of this exciting project:
ADMINISTRATION & LOGISTIC OFFICER (2 POSITIONS)
Reporting to: The Project Manager
Reporting to the Project Manager, key responsibility is to ensure proactive planning, organizing, effective communication, smooth coordination and timely coordination of logistics (including fleet management and vaccine supplies to various locations) and delivery of project activities in close collaboration with the Project Manager, Chief Pharmacist, Community Coordinator, Government and other stakeholders.
He/She ensures that the activities of the Project are being implemented according to approved work plans and budget.
He/she will be responsible for creating work plans in consultation with the Project Manager, ensuring compliance and to identify and mitigate risks to achieve targets.
Education and Experience requirements:
- Minimum Degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences or related fields • Minimum 2 years’ experience in project administration, logistics or procurement
- Strong admin and logistic experience and abilities to work closely and collaboratively with local staff.
- Energy, diplomacy, sound practical judgment and the ability to work independently without supervision
