Zuchu is a Tanzanian singer-songwriter who is affiliated to the WCB Wasafi record label. YouTube gave her the Silver Plaque Button for reaching 100,000 subscribers in a week.

Within a week, she became the first East African female artist to achieve that milestone.

Eleven months later, she became the first East African female musician to achieve one million followers on YouTube. Zuchu was awarded the Emerging Artist Award winner by AFRIMMA in 2020.

Zuchu – Zuchu made her formal debut in the music business in April 2020 and has so far released one EP album. In 2020, she published her first EP album I Am Zuchu, which had seven songs.

Zuchu hails from a musical household and has a musical background. She is the daughter of Khadija Kopa, a well-known female Taarab musician.

Zuchu began singing at a young age and subsequently worked with her mother Khadija Kopa on the song Mauzauza from her first EP, I am Zuchu EP.

Her first public performances as a musician were in 2015, during the inaugural edition of TECNO OWN THE STAGE in Lagos, Nigeria.
